License
One key, one computer, checked once a day. Everything except generating works without it.
What you get
After paying on the pricing page ($20 a month or $200 a year, billed by Stripe) you land on a page that shows a key like CGPU-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, and the same key is emailed to you. That key is your license. There is no account to create and no password.
Activating
Open CozyGPU, go to Settings → License, paste the key and click Activate. The app sends the key, a device identifier and the app version to the license server once; the server answers with a signed token that the app keeps on disk, encrypted like your RunPod keys. The device identifier is a hash of a random value stored on the machine and the computer's name, platform and user name. It is not a serial number and it cannot be turned back into any of those.
Upper or lower case, with or without the dashes: the key is accepted either way.
One device
A key is active on one computer at a time. Activating on a second computer shows which machine holds it and offers to move the license: the first machine is deactivated and the second one takes over. You can also click Deactivate this device in Settings → License on the old machine first. Reinstalling the app or updating it on the same computer does not count as a new device. Renaming the computer or changing the user account makes it look like a new device; just move the license.
Offline use and the grace period
The app checks in with the license server when it starts and once a day after that. Each check returns a fresh token that stays valid for the shorter of 15 days and 14 days past your paid period, so a laptop without internet keeps generating for about two weeks. The library, settings, LoRAs and your RunPod endpoints never need a license. Settings → License shows Grace period when the app is living on an old token (no check-in for more than a day, or a payment that Stripe is retrying) and when generation would stop.
Renewal, cancellation, refunds
- Stripe renews the subscription automatically. Change the card, download invoices or cancel in the billing portal (also linked from Settings → License).
- Cancelling keeps the app working until the end of the paid period, then generation stops.
- A failed renewal gives you 14 days from the end of the period to fix the card; the app shows Grace period meanwhile.
- No trial. If CozyGPU does not work for you, email support@cozygpu.com within 14 days of your first payment for a refund. RunPod charges are billed by RunPod and are separate.
What the license server stores
The key, the Stripe customer and subscription ids, the subscription status and period end, and for the active device: its identifier, the computer name, the app version and when it last checked in. Nothing about what you generate. See the security notes for every outbound request the app makes.
Lost your key
Search your inbox for "CozyGPU license key". If it is gone, go to cozygpu.com/recover, enter the email you paid with, and every key on that account is emailed to it (the page itself never shows a key, so nobody else can read yours). Inside the app the same link sits under Settings → License. If the email does not arrive, write to support@cozygpu.com from the address you paid with.
